Everything You Need to Get Started

Four essentials stand between you and your first foiled creation. That's it, no messy adhesives, no expensive dies and no steep learning curve.

Laser Printer

Any standard monochrome laser printer. Toner is what activates the foil, inkjet won't work.

Toner Foil

Our signature toner foil rolls in 21cm × 12m, available in matte, metallic, holographic and more.

Foiling Machine

Your foiling machine. Applies even heat and pressure to bond foil to toner in seconds.

Cardstock or Paper

Smooth cardstock gives the crispest results. Experiment with weights but it needs to be smooth.

Print Your Design

Print your artwork onto cardstock using a laser printer. The toner — not the paper — is what the foil bonds to. Use the highest toner density setting for rich, solid coverage.

Pro Tips for Flawless Foiling

Small adjustments that make a big difference. These are the details that separate good foiling from great.

Max out toner density

Set your printer to the highest toner density. Solid, dark toner means vibrant, even foil every time.

Let the machine warm up

Give your foiling machine a moment to reach full temperature. Properly heated rollers bonds foil in a single pass.

Smooth foil, smooth results

Store foil away from dust and on the roll they came on, Wrinkles transfer to your design, handle sheets by the edges.

Reuse until it's spent

Foil sheets can be used multiple times until the colour is used up. Great for smaller designs.

Test on scrap first

Run a test piece before your final project. Every printer and cardstock behaves slightly differently.
